We have a Serviceguard (v11.09) two node cluster. For security reasons we need to change the default community string in snmp.
Will changing the default community string or disabling snmp completely have any adverse effects on Serviceguard?
Thanks

Re: SNMP for Serviceguard
No effect if you don't use dependent EMS resources in your SG packages that rely on SNMP being available (e.g. EMS HA Monitors).
SG has an SNMP subagent cmsnmpd that provides a MIB to other applications (e.g. Openview) who want to be notified about SG events. You need to check if this is used.
SG Manager (GUI) cannot set SNMP notification if community string is modified (requires public get-community).
Support for SG A.11.09 ended on Dec 31, 2003.
