snmp SDK in HP-UX

I want to programe with SNMP in HP-UX.
Are there any tools(SDK, lib)that can be used in HP-UX?
Net-snmp maybe can be used, but HP not support the Net-snmp.(no service)

Re: snmp SDK in HP-UX

Hi Dboy,

Here is a good faq for Net-snmp:

http://www.net-snmp.org/FAQ.html

And Both the applications and the agent have been reported as running (at least in part) on the hp-ux operating systems:

* HP-UX (10.20 to 9.01 and 11.0 )

README.hpux11 file can be check for details..

Re: snmp SDK in HP-UX

I've also come accross the Internet Express Net-SNMP port for HP-UX 11i.
I wonder how this product is meant to integrate with the HP-UX SNMP set of daemons,
or whether the Net-SNMP port is meant to substitute the HP daemons?
At the time I was trying to integrate both on HP-UX 11.00 there was unfortunately no official Net-SNMP port.
Due to lack of time I succumbed to my inability then.
However I think it's well worth giving it a try.
Things may have changed by now.

On the other hand if you wish to stick to HP SNMP, and aren't put off by an OpenView license (the product may be named differently by now, they constantly keep coming up with new ballyhoo, perpetuating the marketing folks' grounds)
there should be an SDK being part of it.
