snmp source ip address

Hi,
I have multiple NIC's and IP addresses on HP-UX server. How to define which IP address will be used as source IP address in snmp traps. I can't see that this is configurable in snmpd.conf

Thank you

Re: snmp source ip address

IMHO. It's depend on routing table and destination ip address

Re: snmp source ip address

simple "ping" from "SNMP" Server will also help you figure out which IP address.

basically it would depends on /etc/hosts

Re: snmp source ip address

Thank you for answers but it is not related to routing. It could be something with /etc/hosts but it is not documnted at all. Problem is that I can't change hosts file because of another apllication on server.
