SNMP to monitor Lan card

SNMP to monitor Lan card

I've been asked to turn on SMNP monitoring of a Lan card on a HPUX 1020 system so that someone monitoring the entire network with Solarwinds can see its performance/state.
Any help much appreciated.

Re: SNMP to monitor Lan card

/sbin/init.d/SnmpMib2 start.

This will start mib2 agent responsible for keeping snmp stats.

Re: SNMP to monitor Lan card

Hi,

to configure start of SMNP while booting you have to edit all in /etc/rc.config.d.

There are 3 files you have to check, all begin with Snmp.

It is explained in the files.
