How I can to see the version of SNMP on my HP-UX system?

what /usr/sbin/snmpdm will provide the required details. For instance, the SNMP release is 3.0 and distribution package is 15.3.1.0

# what /usr/sbin/snmpdm
/usr/sbin/snmpdm:
HP OpenView Emanate SNMP Agent. sys HPUX 11.X
PATCH XXXX_XXXXX, MMDDYYYY
SNMP Research Distribution version 15.3.1.0

Hi,

You can also use following command to get snmp version:
# what $(which snmpdm)

For example:
# what /usr/sbin/snmpdm
/usr/sbin/snmpdm:
PATCH XXXX_XXXXX, MMDDYYYY
SNMP Research Distribution version 15.3.1.0
HP OpenView Emanate SNMP Agent. sys HPUX 11.X

Hi,
I am not sure from where you can download the latest SNMP packages.

In general it is good practice to update the HP-UX systems with latest QPK patches.
This patches will ensure that all the packages are of latest and greatest.

The HP-UX Quality Packs include recommended defect-fix patches for networking, core, kernel, and library components. HP-UX 11i v1, HP-UX 11i v2, and HP-UX 11i v3 Quality Packs also contain defect-fix patches for all applications in the HP-UX Operating Environments (OE bundles). HP thoroughly tests each Quality Pack (QPK) bundle to the same test level as a new HP-UX operating system release.

Thus it a a kind of consolidated patch. Ensure your system is installed with latest QPK patch bundle as and when HP releases it.

For HPUX11.31 system, you need to download the QPK available in this link.

I ran the what command as recommended and here are my results on an HPUX server running 11.31. How do I know what version of snmp I have installed?
