Re: SNMP
thanks for the info, i have made the necesary changes to the files that start snmp. but that will only take effect if the system is rebooted, right?
i know that i need to stop the snmp. i did a grep of snmp and this is the result i got
oot@pacdctn2:/etc/rc.config.d> ps -ef | grep snmp*
root 1142 1 0 May 1 ? 0:10 /usr/sbin/snmpdm
root 4776 4447 0 13:35:02 ttyp1 0:00 grep snmp*
is it okay to go ahead and stop the pid 1142?
thanks in advance.

To all thank you for the info, much appreciated. In brief modified all the files above and stopped SNMP agent. I also modified /etc/snmpd.conf file.
