						Hi,
1. when the OS was first installed, should I configurate the kernel to use the tape driver? How to configurate it?
2. When I recover the system using tape, how did I know which tape driver's address is?
Thank you very much!

						Hi 11bo
You should not configure kernel by using tape driver
1. You can configure the kernel by using kctune or kcweb from the commnand prompt.
#kctune
#kcweb
For more details check man pages of kctune and kcweb
#man kctune
#man kcweb (graphical interface)
You can configure kernel from SAM
2. You can check tape driver's address is
by below command as follows:
#ioscan -funC tape
Rgds//
Taifur

The tape's address is different between "ioscan -fnCtape" and the following picture. I want to recover the system from "Boot Menu->Boot From File->Load File". But in this picture, I don't know which is the tape's address. How did I know ?
Thank you~

						This is IMHO the tape.
You can check with
> devices
> devtree
from EFI or
# ioscan -fneCtape
from hp-ux.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
