Hi Guys,
I need to find out the SQLNet Version that I am running, is there a command to find out the version that I am currently running.
sqlplus actually uses the SQLNet engine... I can find out the sqlplus version by doing a sqlplus -? ... but how do I find out the SQLNet Version ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Shabu

Re: SQLNet version
try either checking what is pointed to by ORACLE_HOME, or start orainst and see what it returns in the start-up message.

Solution
Also, 'lsnrctl version' reports version numbers for the major pieces of the SQL*Net software. I'm not sure that there is one product called SQL*Net though. It's a bundle of a bunch of stuff.
Generally, it's the same version as the database starting with version 8.0. Version 7.3 of the database used sqlnet 2.3 or something like that.
Oracle started synchronizing it's version numbers a couple of years ago to avoid confusion.

Re: SQLNet version
Thanks ! Guys !
You are right Eric, the lsnrctl version command actually reports the SQL*NET Version.
Thanks,
Shabu
