SSH BUG: SCP fails with files greater than 2G

After upgrading to SSH version 4.30.X on HP-UX users found that they could not transfer files lareger than 2G with SCP. Workaround is to use SFTP.

HP has identified this issue and is providing a fix. The new version of SSH with this fix will be available on the softare depot at the end of August. This date is subject to change but we have high confidence that the software will be available by August 31st.

Version with Fix:

SSH_A.04.30.014_B.11.00
SSH_A.04.30.014_B.11.11
SSH_A.04.30.015_B.11.23

NOTE: the version number may change before the final post to the software depot.

If you are experienceing this issue there is a beta version of the software available. Please log a case with the HP Response Center for the BETA versio of SSH. The BETA is available for 11.0, 11.11 and 11.23.

Are you requesting the pre-4.30.X version of Secure Shell to resolve this issue?

At this point you can log a case w/ HP to get the updated BETA version of 4.30.014/15 to resolve this issue if you would like.

If you want the last release of 4.2.X that HP provided you would have to log a case as well.

HP has released the new version of Secure Shell to the software depot.

Overview
HP-UX Secure Shell A.04.30.014 supporting HP-UX 11.0 and HP-UX 11i v1, and HP-UX Secure Shell A.04.30.015 supporting HP-UX 11i v2 are based on OpenSSH 4.3p2. The client-server architecture supports the SSH-1 and SSH-2 protocols and provides secured remote login, file transfer, and remote command execution.
