Re: ssh

Jean,

The previous postings for the software are the best resources for this. I just want to add that if you can't find software at hp's software site, don't forget to look at the HPUX porting archive. Search Google for "HPUX Porting Archive", choose the one for the location nearest you.

Re: ssh

Hi,

HP-UX 11i is really a family name - the latest version generally available is 11iv2 (which "uname -a" would display as 11.23)
Additionally, HP-UX 11i is shipped in 'Operating Environments' (OE)

To see what 'variants' are available got to:
- www.hp.com/go/hpux <--- hpux 11i 'home page' - OR -
- http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/operating/choice/index.html <--- general info on OE

As already mentioned, the hp-supported version of the Open Source ssh is HP-UX Secure Shell A.03.91 (based on OpenSSH 3.9p1.) and is available for free download from www.software.hp.com (http://www.software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=T1471AA) where you can also access the Install Notes, Release Notes and FAQ

If you are unsure of what you are doing (you are dealing with a security-type product...) then perhaps you need to give your local HP office a call to arrange for (purchase) some consultancy time?

Nick
