Stipulated time on icapmodify

Can anyone have an idea on how long it will take to activate the TiCAP cores?
icapmodify -a 4 -t
Will that be instant or some minutes?

It didn't took more than 2 minutes for adding 4 cores if i my memory serves right. However, it may vary but i haven't seen it instant til date.
Dreams are not which you see while sleeping, Dreams are which doesnt allow you to sleep while you are chasing for them!!
