STREAMS/UX console error

Hi ..
I've got an L-2000 running HP-UX 11.0 and spuratically the following errors appears on the system console:

The system appears to be running fine, but the messages are annoying and have peaked my curiousity. Any feedback would be appreciated.

From what I read about this problem before it seems likely that you may have a faulty switch/hub port. At the same time I would suggest that you look at loading the latest ARPA patches.

My finger hit the button too early. I was also going to ask if you had the latest STREAMS patch loaded?

Thanks for the fast response.
The STREAMS patch that is loaded is PHNE_25116, which is not the latest or recommeneded (PHNE_27902, which of course requires a reboot to install :(.

Also, when the system was built / patched I do not believe this error appeared on the console. It started appearing after the unit was shipped to China due to outsourcing activities.

Apart from the latest patch,I suggest you to check the speed/duplex options with the server and the switch.

make sure the duplex and speed match at both ends.

Also try changing the network cable.
