su: Unknown id: sfmdb messages in /etc/rc.log

I was searching /etc/rc.log to determine why a process didn't startup as expected during a reboot and I stumbled on 1000+ su: Unknown id: sfmdb messages.

Perhaps unrelated, but I've found I also can not log in the System Management Homepage with the superuser id or my own id. I know I have proper passwords, but the SMH always throws a Sign-In failure message.

Re: su: Unknown id: sfmdb messages in /etc/rc.log

Part of SIM and SMH.

Someone must have removed the sfmdb userid.

Put it back in or remove/disable SIM/SHM packages.

Does sfmdb need to have a specific uid? Does it need to belong to any special groups?

Re: su: Unknown id: sfmdb messages in /etc/rc.log

If there are files owned by the smfdb ID then it should be that UID.

Looks like the /opt/sfmdb directory and files are all owned by bin.

Check /var/opt/sfmdb to see if a UID exist under there. i.e. if files are uid 102 then sfmdb UID = 102. Looks like the GID is users.

The package name from swlist is:
SFMDB B.03.00.04 HP System Management Database (SFMDB)
