I think it might be possible. The systems use the same drives - part numbers are identical. It would depend on what peripherals were attached. If there aren't any, then yes it will probably work (I think).

This would work if & only if both systems had the same devices at the same HW addresses.
Especially problematic would be the disk drives. If their HW addresses were different, it wouldn't even boot.
So if you plan to do this thoroughly compare full ioscan outputs from these systems.

It is possible only if the pheriperals which are connected on both the servers are same.
If there is a CDROM/DAT/DLT difference is there when u start with the other disk the OS will include the device files.These devices doesn't make any difference unless you didn't specified any cronjobs earlier with those dat drive.
