Attached are the steps I am using to add a depot to a local depot server.
The steps are using the GUI.
I would like to know if the following command woudl take care of it.
swcopy -s /path/to/my_downloaded_depot \* @/depot/HP-UX/11.XX/Apps/
Or if I need more steps to do the same thing though the command line.
Thanks
Richard

Re: Swcopy question ..
Should do it, I think. You can use the -p option to test it out without actually copying anything to make sure the syntax is correct and it will actually do what you intend.

Solution
Hi Richard:
# swcopy -v -s /path_to_depot -x enforce_dependencies=false \* @ /var/tmp/swdepot
...is preferred since you are delaying the enforement of any dependencies until you actually do the 'swinstall'.
To see a depot's contents, do:
# swlist -d \* @ /path_to_depot
To install:
# swinstall -s /path_to_depot -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true
...Note that dependencies are enforced here and only patches that apply to the target server are applied.
Regards!
