Re: swinstall error

What output do you get if you run the "mount" command? You could probably change your swinstall options to not mount all file systems in order to get around this problem.

Re: swinstall error

Looks almost as if your /etc/fstab or /etc/mnttab is missing.

Is this the case?

Re: swinstall error

Hi Pete ,

I can see only one option in swinstall's options , that is "mount filesystems in /etc/fstab" which I have already turned off. Still it's not going through....any idea???

Re: swinstall error

Hi,

Could be :

A - an invalid entry in /etc/fstab (inexistant mountpoint, even if unused)

B - a corrupted /etc/mnttab. Try 'rm /etc/mnttab' the 'mount' to recreate it.

Regards.

Re: swinstall error

Hi,
make sure /etc/fstab is readable and that there are no commented entry.
If it is the last case, make a copy and clean of all unused stuff.

Re: swinstall error

Generally this error is caused by an invalid entry in /etc/fstab.

check if there is any link file in the system to a folder that is not existing.

check the log files.
