swinstall suspends because swlist -l root(install_clean) fails

anyone seen something like this before?

* Installing fileset "apache2.apache2-SHLIBS,r=2.0.35" (4 of 4).
* Running install clean command /usr/lbin/sw/install_clean.
NOTE: tlinstall is searching filesystem - please be patient
