Switching from LAN failover to LAN Monitor

It seems from looking at the doc and the options available in SMH that it is not possible to "convert" an aggregated port from LAN failover to LAN Monitor without taking the port down at least briefly.

Does anyone have thoughts otherwise?

Sorry for the possible confusion of terms. What I am trying to do is move from a link aggregate to a failover group.
