swlist/IPD corruption-missing individual INDEX files
I inherited a system in which a swlist does not match the products listed in /var/adm/sw/products/* First thing I worked on was the main INDEX file. I then discovered that the real problem was that the many of the products had empty pfiles directories, missing both the INFO and INDEX files. It appears that at some point a swinstall went awry and messed these up. I do not have a backup from when these files were still OK. Anyone have a bright idea? Do I just start copying these files over from systems that have the same products installed or is there a better method?
Ye who thinks he has a lot to say, probably shouldn't.
