synchronising time

hi ,
i have four HP-UX servers (2 rp 7420 and 2 rp 3440) ,
i need that all the 4 servers have exactly the same time ,as the application needs that ,
how can i synchronise those servers to a single clock ?

Re: synchronising time

Hi,
I would suggest:
Add to your contab file
00 08 * * * /usr/sbin/ntpdate -u NTPSERVER >>/var/log/ntpdate.log

Replace NTPSERVER with your companies internal/external ntp servers name and add entry to /etc/hosts etc.

See :

Or declare one of your servers the ntp server and synchronise the other three against it.

Re: synchronising time

Shalom,

Yes, its called ntp and its part of the standard OS installation.

This is an 11v2(11.23) doc but it will work just fine on 11.11 or earlier Os release.
