Sys mem is very High
The RAM of Prod1 server about 13GB and recently we installed Oracle application that server,,, anyway I noticed that sys mem consumed a lot of RAM which is about 50% of total RAM, see the following readings from glance
***********************************
Total VM : 10.4gb Sys Mem : 6.2gb User Mem: 6.5gb Phys Mem : 13.3gb
Active VM: 8.2gb Buf Cache: 1mb Free Mem: 494mb FileCache: 96mb
***********************************
note that ORACLE require to change some of kernel parameter
can you help me to find a way to decrease sys mem utilization?
find at the attachment field KCUSAGE output

Re: Sys mem is very High
for the oracle is normal the memmory usage, yes you can optimize ( tune ) the amount of memmory with the oracle configuration file.
and also its depend on your kernel parameters.
check the recommended values in installation manual from oracle.

Re: Sys mem is very High
Right. And it is only 1 Mb. And the filecache is only 96 Mb. So you don't have to decrease either.
