Sysdiag online diagnostics
I need a document about details of the old sysdiag online diagnostics... list of them, what they do, and whether they require a password to work.
I hope I get replies to this.
A very grateful 10 points for the one(s) giving me this :-)

Re: Sysdiag online diagnostics
Thanks for your answer, but it didn't help much actually.
I need details of some of the most important diagnostic utilities within sysdiag. Examples include logtool, sysmap, scsidsk2, scsidds, dtdutil etc. Any doc explaining what these do and whether they can be used without a password or not?
Thanks,
Vince

Re: Sysdiag online diagnostics
# suplicen
==> Load sysdiag password, needed to enable all diagnostics tools in "sysdiag".
# sysdiag
DUI> logtool
LOGTOOL> help list
==> help on command list
LOGTOOL> status
==> show log files
LOGTOOL> types
==> show types of errors recorded
LOGTOOL> list log=0
==> list errors in logfile "LOG0000"
LOGTOOL> summarize log=0 type=150
==> show diagnostic events
LOGTOOL> memrpt
==> run memory report
DUI> memdiag
==> show latest memory errors
DUI> scsidsk2 pdev=9.2.0 sc=17
==> pdev is the pyhsical path
==> sc=17 means interactive session
SCSIDSK2> ac
==> read the log
I'm not sure of scsidds tool, I suppose it's a scsi-diagnostics tool
The dtdutil is like copyutil and it's used to create recovery tape for 9.X system. I haven't use it before.
I think if you use the "help" menu within "sysdiag" you could probably get around to all your answers eventually.
hope it helps a little.
