syslog message

Hi all,

The message "Nov 6 05:04:20 SERV01 vmunix: B2352B/9245XB HP-UX (B.11.00) #1: Wed Nov 5 22:38:19 PST 1997" appears in the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log file. What it means? Do I must do something? ...

Thanks & Regards

Re: syslog message

Hi Andres

This message is just a kernel version. Maybe the last line of a multi-lines message in your syslog ? what before this line in the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log file ?

Re: syslog message

It is the information about your machine's kernel. No need to worry about that. Are you logging messages remotely to same machine.

It is working based on /etc/syslog.conf with *.info setting. info related messages are meant to give general informations. Low priority one with no problem.

hth.

Easy to suggest when don't know about the problem!

Re: syslog message

No erros messages were found in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log file, so all seems to be OK.
