System administration
Hi experts
I want to know what should be done in the intial HP VUE screen in a workstation to display the last login time and date. I know the way it can be done in shell
last -1 username
which displays the last sucessfull login time. I need to capture that and display it as a message box similar to the one which comes when there is a bad login "LOGIN INCORRECT".
Thanks in advance
Shiv

Re: System administration
It really depends on what you mean by the "VUE" screen? As VUE is not normally configured are you reffering to the copyright screen? Are you referring to the CDE backdrop?
The copyright display comes from "/etc/copyright" You could always modify this with /etc/profile (keep the original copyright to satisfy legal concerns!). This would give a blue screen for a couple of seconds that you could display just near anything on.
Of course, legal may have a problem or two with this, so I never modify this file ;-|..
Regards,
Shannon
