System traffic monitoring

I would like to monitor the system traffic of my UX server , how can I know the daily traffic or how many block/packet in and out the system ? thx.

check for
http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Networking/Admin/tcpdump-3.7.2/

Also check the dependencies
