system upgrade D350 to rp2470

Hi All,

currently plan do a system upgrade. The step is backup all the data and os on D350 to tape. For rp2470 portion, do a fresh os installation hp-ux 11i and install patch and mirror. My corcen is what file need copy from old system to new system ? such as /etc/group or printer file, anyone did this before ?

yessir.

Take copy of all "/etc" (/rc.config.d/)
and especially /etc/ssh*,sendmail.cf, inetd.conf, inetd.sec, netdaemons, services ,netconf, hosts, passwd, group, fstab.. backup routines cronjobs for all users, resolv.conf, nsswitch.conf + Ntp-setup.

And for gods-sake... make a vgexport -p -v -s -m vgname.map vgname for ALL existing volumegroups. Store it away.
