Was writing to DDS3 tape drive running
make_recovery. Was diconnected from system
and the tape drive got hung up. Could not
release the tape until I powered off the tape
drive. Once I did this was able to start the
make_recovery again. Ran ioscan before and
after tape was powered off and on. Both times
received NO_HW for S/W status of tape drive.
Will this cause problems or do I need to do
a reboot of server??

Re: Tape drive Problem
Made the mistake of running "ioscan -fkn"
Took out the k for kernel and ran the command
again and the tape drive came up claimed.
-Thanks,
