Tape to Net Recovery Archives

Hello all,

How can I transfer a recovery image that was made to a tape with make_recovery to an Ignite server as a net recovery for a system? Is it even possible?

Hello Bob,

What you are looking for is the copy_boot_tape command.

Extract the system archive only, to file systemimage in the directory
/var/opt/ignite/archives/Rel_B.11.00.

# copy_boot_tape -u /dev/rmt/c0t0d0DDS1n -a -d /var/opt/ignite/archives/Rel_B.11.00

From then on treat just like an image created with make_sys_image and follow the directions in the Admin manual under "Configuring Ignite-UX Server to Recognize the OS Archive".
