Tcl/Tk
Hi all,
I am trying to build Tk 8.3 on HP-UX 11. So far it is a failure coz during the build it says I do not have X header files and X but it found X libraries though X11R4.
Has one successfully build Tcl/Tk on HP-UX 11?
Rgds

Re: Tcl/Tk
Hi Mike,
Do You know that HP is sponsoring several mirrors of a Software Porting And Archive Centre for HP-UX?
You can reach one of these at http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/ . If You type TCL/TK, You will find a port of 8.2.1 of Tcl and Tk, and a bundle tcl/tk 8.3.3...
http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Tcl/tcl-8.2.1/
http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Tcl/tk-8.2.1/
http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Tcl/tcltk-8.3.3/
Hope this help You... Anyway, tell me if You want to compile from source, I will try to help You then.
Yours,
Emmanuel

Re: Tcl/Tk
Mike,
I installed tcl/tk (8.2) from the above mentioned software distribution center. The install worked fine with one exception. I had to add a soft link called tk8.2 in /opt/tcl-8.2 that points to /opt/tk-8.2/lib/X11 to get things to work. The 8.3 install may have the same problem. Good luck.
BTW - you should take a few minutes to assign points to those who have answered your questions, you have not assigned any yet.
Dave
