telnet . port

I did try "telnet . port" command on HP-UX11.0. It works and transtate "." as localhost.

Anyway, Running this on HP-UX 11.i doens't work. It only works for "telnet 0 port".

Roughly speaking, "telnet . port" works only on HP-UX 11.0 right?

Could anybody try this thing? Did you get the same result?

Yeah, works fine for me on 11.0 boxes (telnet . 23) but not on 11i. telnet 0 23 works fine on 11i.

Doesn't work on either of my machines.
PA (11.0) and Itanium (11iv2).
It simply returns port

port: bad port number
