telnetd: Cannot push ptem: Not a typewriter

Hello,
We are planning to upgrade Oracle 8i to 9i and as such installed the QPK bundle (Sept 2003). After the installation we are facing telnet problem. Following message appears when tried to telnet the server.

telnetd: Cannot push ptem: Not a typewriter

Telnet is only possible through X-windows & console. Aslo we are able to ftp the server.


Please help me get out of this situation.

tried insf -e and it worked.
