trash automatically empties at log out

Can anyone tell me how to change the settings for the trash can in HP10.2 using the Common Desktop Environment so that the trash can is NOT emptied when log out takes place?

If you can find a file: $HOME/.dt/sessions/sessionexit then remove the line "/usr/dt/bin/dtaction DtEmptyTrash"
