Trusted system and MQSeries

Hi All

OS: HP-UX 11.23
MQSeries V6

I am experiencing a problem with a trusted system running MQSeries. MQSeries listens on port 1414 for incomming connections.

I have converted my system to a trusted system but when I stop and start MQSeries (MQSeries listens based on entries in /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf) I cannot connect to MQSeries again. I need to run

tsconvert -r
tsconvert

then I can connect again.

Surely this is not right. What am I doing wrong or forgotten to implement?

Thanks

Carlo

Re: Trusted system and MQSeries

Shalom Carlo,

Your test proves conclusively that some part of the trusted system process breaks MQSeries.

No doubt about it.

It may have to do with the change in authentication to a shadowed authentication system.

See if MQSeries will work with trusted systems.

If its possible to get MQseries to lisen on another port, that might help, but I don't believe the port is the issue.l

Check the product error log and:
/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log for clues on what the actual problem is.

Its not enough to say it is trusted system that does it. You need to identify what portion of trusted system conversion causes the problem.
