Trusted system with LDAP

Is it possible to setup a trusted system that uses LDAP authentication? If so how would I do it?

Thanks!

Re: Trusted system with LDAP

In which context you want to use the LDAP driver ?
Db level / WebServer ?
Then get driver , plug-in from your vendor's software.

We use oracle's for instance for hpux.

At unix level I have not seen this.
We use ssh instead.

Re: Trusted system with LDAP

Shalom,

Yes it is as opposed to NIS which won't work under such a scheme.

One of the easier ways of doing it is installing the Netscape/Fedora Directory server from http://software.hp.com and running the setup, telling it to integrate with your primary domain controller.

The same product above comes with a nice GUI and web based admin tool. I'm not sure its fully functional, because I'm testing it now. if it is, its LDAP made easy.
