Two agile devices for the same disk

Hi,

Im running ia 11.31:

HPUX11i-OE B.11.31 HP-UX Foundation Operating Environment

The output of

# ioscan -fnNC disk

is:

Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
===========================================================================
disk 3 64000/0xfa00/0x5 esdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP IR Volume
/dev/disk/disk3 /dev/disk/disk3_p2 /dev/rdisk/disk3 /dev/rdisk/disk3_p2
/dev/disk/disk3_p1 /dev/disk/disk3_p3 /dev/rdisk/disk3_p1 /dev/rdisk/disk3_p3
disk 8 64000/0xfa00/0x10 esdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP HSV200
/dev/disk/disk8 /dev/rdisk/disk8
disk 13 64000/0xfa00/0x11 esdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP HSV200
/dev/disk/disk13 /dev/disk/disk18 /dev/rdisk/disk13 /dev/rdisk/disk18

Why there are two agile devices for the same disk?
(disk13 and disk18)

I've March 2008 Standard Patch Bundles installed.

Regards,

Joao Rei

Please check if the presentation mode in commandview for this EVA is set to "hp-ux".

Hope this helps!

Re: Two agile devices for the same disk

Hi,

The 2 Vdisks are presented to an
Hewlett-Packard HP-UX host type.

Both Vdisks have similar presentation configuration.
