Re: ulimit (out of memory prblm)
Correct--sort of. /stand/system is a copy of the parameters that were used to build the last kernel. Changing anything in there will have no effect.
You need to run SAM to change kernel parameters. There is nothing you can do to change the kernel parameters mentioned before without running SAM, and it will require a reboot.

Re: ulimit (out of memory prblm)
Hi Kuls,
Here is a link on iplanet performance tuning,
http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/40/scaling/perf.htm
And here is a link from ITRC on system performance tuning,
http://us-support3.external.hp.com/iv/bin/doc.pl/sid=ac60d9fb101b11f920/screen=ivHome/?NODEID=English_SHW::WW_SW_UX_SYSADM_EN_E/Q1.7&WARP=1
Hope this helps.
Regds
P.S.: To assign points you should be logged into the ITRC.

Do you (perhaps) also get *other* messages 'at' the same time (i.e. during or/and just before or/and just after), i.e. (also) in any *other* logfile?
I ask this because often people concentrate too much on one part of the problem, while the clues are in another part.
