umount hangs after VG device path lost

Hi, I have several mounted file systems (for BC) that were still being accessed when their disk devices were being unpresented from the SAN storage (eva5k).

Subsequently those file systems would not respond to the umount command. /etc/mntttab still show the file system.

vgchange -a n and vgexport also fails, reporting device as busy.

Short of rebooting the server, is there anything else that can be done?

As far i know, nothing other than a reboot ca help here.
