Unable to Change User password on trusted system

I am having a problem with an HP UX 11i server. Tried to change my password i get the message :-

Old password:
Sorry.

And it comes out.

I hope you are trying with wrong passwd. If you type wrong passwd in trusted system, it will say like this.

Try to reset that users passwd with root user.

Most probably u have typed in the wrong old password.

what does following say??

/usr/lbin/getprpw -m lockout "user_name"
Should show 000000, else unlock the account as follows.

/usr/lbin/getprpw -k "user_name"

Now set "null" as user's password.

/usr/sam/lbin/usermod.sam -F -p "" "user_name"

This should resolve it.

Hope you are keying wrong password. Try RAC's method, it should work.
