Re: unable to mount the cdrom
Assuming that the '/cdrom' directory exists, you need to do something like:
# mount -F cdfs /dev/dsk/cXtYdZ /cdrom
See the manpages for 'mount_cdfs(1M)'
Regards!

SolutionTry this:
Do an
#ioscan -fnC disk
to see wich is your CDROMs device path (/dev/dsk/cxtxdx)
then do:
#mkdir /cdrom (if it's not created)
#mount /dev/dsk/cxtxdx /cdrom
Finally
#ls /cdrom
to list all the CDROMs contents

LN

Re: unable to mount the cdrom
Have you made any recent SW changes to the server, or deletion/modifying of files?
Could you send the output of the ioscan -fnC disk?
Also send the output of
#ll /dev/dsk
#ll /dev/rdsk
Probably your CDROM is bad...but send those outputs to see what you have.

Re: unable to mount the cdrom
What bundle are you installing?
What is your HPUX version?
Is it Mission Critical OE, or Enterprise?

Re: unable to mount the cdrom
How it went with your installation. Sorry I had to go home last night.
Did the installation finished successfully, or you are still having problems?

Re: unable to mount the cdrom
SG is licensed per CPU and needs to be purchased for every production SG server by CPU.
