Re: Unable to Print

Check your network cable, or ping the printer jetadmin server. You have to enable/accept the printer and do lpsched to start the spooler scheduler.

Re: Unable to Print

as suggested by chris check if the printer is on the network , you can alos use jetadmin diagnostics to check status of printer ( i.e. run jetadmin , select diagnostics,) run tests on the printer to see what this reports. Depends what version of jetadmin you have you can see the status of the printer i.e. if it is out of paper , whether what you are printing has changed the paper source to letter etc..

Seek and you shall find

Re: Unable to Print

I agree with everyone else, check your network connections and make sure you ping the IP address.

Here (and I don't know why...) I have had occassions where the network card on the printer actually lost it's IP address. I am sure there is a logical explanation. Like the NT system person inadvertently changed it via JetAdmin and this printer is used by both UNIX and Netware/NT for printing. At least that has happened here. So I now have the habit of confirming that IP address.

Just a thought,
