unable to reboot HP-UX 11.00 after recovery initial process

We have A400 hardware was running HP-UX 11.00 and system had hardware issues. Replaced system with same type of hardware and tried to load from Ignite image and it fails to load after initial recovery process.

* Build_Kernel: Begin

NOTE: Since the /stand/vmunix kernel is already in place, the kernel will
not be re-built. Note that no mod_kernel directives will be processed.

* Boot_From_Client_Disk: Begin

* Rebooting machine as expected.
NOTE: Rebooting system.

After this, system tries boot up and fails to load /stand/vmunix. It just sits at ISL> prompt.

AUTOBOOT may be off.

Check from BCH

Configuration Menu: Enter command > au bo

Autoboot: OFF

Configuration Menu: Enter command > au bo on



Configuration Menu: Enter command > bo pri

no.Auto boot settings are ok. Even tried boot with "hpux -lq" and thinks for a while and comeback to ISL> prompt.

Hi,

I just did a search on the above patches, seems some of them are for workstations. Try reloeding the Ignite Image with the advanced option restore to a different architecture.

Did you install on a different server? Did you swap only one disk? How many disk are there?

Try

Menu: Enter command > sea ipl

it was same architecture and trying to load 11.00 image. Will try to select that option during recovery again.

Yes. we got different server with same type of hardware and got one disk in it. Selected one disk only during recovery process.

No errors at ISL prompt. It shows

couldn't spend much time. Using existing another server to rename, re-IP and get going.
