unable to start SAM

It happened me to restore the System using Ignite. After restore I am unable to start SAM. I am getting following error

I have gone through one itrc doc which asks to run "swconfig SystemAdmin" but didnot serve the purpose.

When I run 'swlist -l fileset -a state' it gives a wide list - configured.

Any clues how it be resolved.

Hello Shaik,

As root, install Latest 'SAM' patch (does not require reboot).

HP-UX 11.00:
PHCO_31879 cumulative SAM/ObAM patch

HP-UX 11.11:
PHCO_35520 cumulative SAM patch

HP-UX 11.23:
PHCO_34974 cumulative SAM patch

When I run SAM and go to any option under "disk and file systems" I get the error msg -

Older SAM Patch:

Latest SAM Patch:
PHCO_34974 s700_800 11.23 cumulative SAM patch

Should install Latest SAM Patch to fix all SAM known issues :)

Note also dependencies for this patch (PHCO_34974):

PHKL_31500
PHCO_31566
PHCO_31589
PHSS_32674

Some of them requires reboot.

I skipped 31500 but I have that patch.

I could not understand why after restoring from Ignite this problem started. Prior to restore everything was okay. SAM was normal. Is something wrong with my Ignite?

do you have vxfs4.1? if so, that could be the issue.

Using Latest Version of Ignite-UX C.7.3.x?

NOTE: Does not require Server Reboot :)

It happened that I had to reinstall the OS with June 07 Foundation OS. On it I installed the Ignote 7.3.148. But it was giving me some error (pax / par). when I tried to take ignite backup.
