unable to submit postings for last two hours
since 6.00am GMT this morning until now I have been unable to post anything at all. I have repeatedly received timeouts and the following message :
Error processing SSI file '/cm/FamilyHomeContent/1,11868,LoggedIn!117,00.html'
When I access any other web sites I have no problems at all so Im inclined to think its not a general bandwidth problem. ( yes I am using a 56K dialup modem).
I have two questions which interest me first was there any batch processing - house keeping or other activity on the server this morning to rduce performance ?
Secondly when I look at the top of my screen to the right I see "AMERICAS / ASIA PACIFIC" this makes me think is there a mirrored server in Europe which I should be using for better performance in general being as I am UK based ?
Cheers
John.

Re: unable to submit postings for last two hours
Every month Hp put's a new thread out, on forum's issues, here's April's:
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0x39a58cc5e03fd6118fff0090279cd0f9,00.html
THere have been some issues lately, probably due to the fact they are using M$ as a web server - YUK - not in my shop!
Also they is a forums success stories:

Re: unable to submit postings for last two hours
HP has done wonderful things to this site since the first of the year and it has very much improved response time since then.
We had typical response times of 10 to 30 seconds per page refresh at times before.
Typical times now are less than 5 seconds.

Re: unable to submit postings for last two hours
forums run in US, but the Europe accounts are related to europe service contracts and managed in europe.
I was able to avoid login problems by using "europe" instead of the default "europe2" login host.
May be this helps next time.
