Re: Unexpected Reboot on PA server

More than likely you are missing a patch and you have a crash dump.

Check /var/adm/crash

If you have crash dumps, you need to perform q4 analysis.

-----

the RP2470 is a A-class PA-RISC this can not run 11.23 ?

Could you check the these commands to confirm the model and version.

# model
# uname -a

Kind regards,

Re: Unexpected Reboot on PA server

If you are indeed running 11.23PI release, please contact your local HP Response Centre, as this is NOT currently a supported General Release OS version, but under test.

Re: Unexpected Reboot on PA server

Hello all,

Thanks for your replies. I beleive this is due to a SD related issue. I am not sure abt this yet.I am currently testing and let you know the results ASAP.

Thanks,
Arun

Re: Unexpected Reboot on PA server

I would be curious if /var/adm/tombstones/ts99 had any useful data too.

Re: Unexpected Reboot on PA server

I would suggest using HP-UX 11.11. At the present time 11.23 is only supported on HP Integrity Servers (Itanium 2 based), not pa-risc systems at all.
