Windows/HPUX passwd protected compression

Hi all,

I am in need of a "free" tool that is able to compress a file on a windows host, password protected. The will be mailed to a HPUX 11.11 server and it needs to be uncompressed using the same password.

Any experiences/suggestions/pointers are welkome and will get points assigned!

Have you tried this with putty,

I won't say anything about mailing and all that. But if you have a choice, how about scp or sftp.

I believe you can do this with good old winzip. It can have a password on Wintel, and you can get a free unzip tool on HPUX to unzip it.

Unzip avaialbale at porting centre.

Thanks for the suggestion,
but the documents will be send from offices all over the world, not connected to our network. So that is not an option.

Winzip/unzip is a candidate, but i would like some alternatives.
