I need to copy the files of multiple directories on the unix box to a network drive on a nightly basis. I am not sure about how to go about doing this. It is code that programmer need to modify, but i dont want them on the box at all. Any idea's?

Re: Unix directory to network drive
If you have SSH installed, you can use SCP.
Secure copy that is.

Re: Unix directory to network drive
If you just would like to copy these files without any version control e.g. you can use scp as mentioned before.
If it is a whole dir with name DIRNAME an maschine LOCALHOST to point DESTDIR on the maschine REMOTEHOST just type
scp -r DIRNAME usernameâ ¬REMOTEHOST:DESTDIR
If it is as you mentioned programm code a version control tool is very recommended: You need one box as CVS server with some redundancy in storage and all other programmers can receive and distribute their programms with this.
If you would like to use this I can give you more detailed information on request.
Have fun,
Oli
