Do you have Samba (CIFS) installed?

Re: unix file share for windows
Shalom,
CIFS/9000 is available at http://software.hp.com
It is Samba, which is pretty much the file sharing engine of Windows.
There is no need to alter windows in this scenario.
Download CIFS/9000 the server and the client product to your HP-UX system.
swinstall server and then client. The client install requires a reboot.
Configuration doc:
http://g4u0420c.houston.hp.com/en/B8724-90009/B8724-90009.pdf
The documentation seems to have moved as it does periodically. My google search was CIFS/900 configuration hp ux. Perhaps the HP search engine will work better.

And of course this finds the stale URL in docs.hp.com. :-(
I used: CIFS/9000 configuration hp ux -site:docs.hp.com
and found: http://docs-pro.houston.hp.com/en/B8724-90022/index.html
from 2002
