UNIX postscript printing

What is needed on a LaserJet 5N printer to print postscript from UNIX?

Re: UNIX postscript printing

Your printer must provide support for postscript. The laserjet 5N comes with HP PCL 6, HP PCL 5e as standard print languages; Adobe PostScript Level 2 is optional.

If your printer doesn't have that option, then you won't be able to print in postscript. If you have that option, then any file in postscript format (file with .ps extension) will be printed in PS.

The HP product number for the PostScript SIMM is C3918A.
