Re: Unknown Error

For unix error messagesthis one sounds pretty descriptive.

the mbpscw01 program is doing something that needs to be logged to syslog.

syslog or the program log can not be appended. It could be the filesystem the log is supposed to be in is not mounted.

bdf /var

See that its showing /var is mounted. If not, you have a serious problem and need to take the following steps:

1) Clear anything written to the /var folder This may not be possible without single user mode. Anything written there will take up space and be hidden when /var is mounted.

2) Make sure /var can mount. See about mount /var and check and act on the error codes.

Re: Unknown Error

Has someone deleted a log file instead of trimming it?
