Unsolved mystery

I installed PHNE_22244 on a K420 running httpd.
Some mysterious happenings on the oracle side have occurred since, like french characters have disappeared from the home page.
The patch description makes no reference in any way to language libraries or profiles being modified and I would not expect that for a LAN 100BT patch! it makes no sense to me.
Anyone have some clues as to what might have happened...

reports nothing of the sort!
I'm just wondering if there is anything related to the special instruction that could have caused it..

Do you use a font server from that machine or any other? It may be that the network patch disabled/broke or stopped it.?. I have had one or two instances where the font server got mucked up after a patch, but it was generally just the font path list being over-written. I can't think which patches they were though.
